FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the most common questions people have asked at Advanced Weight Loss & Wellness Center. Feel free to contact our staff and we will be happy to provide any other information you need.
Does your center accept medical insurance?
Our center does not accept insurance for payment. However, this does not rule out the possibility of reimbursement by your insurance provider. We will be glad to provide you with invoices that you may submit for reimbursement.
Additionally, many employers offer a Pre-Tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to their employees. These arrangements permit the employee to save a portion of their pre-tax earnings to use on health-related expenses NOT covered by health insurance. Your FSA may cover your program fees – ask your employer for more information.
What is a Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program?
We have a variety of programs to help you safely and effectively lose weight, and most importantly keep it off. Each weight loss program is individualized based on your needs and requirements and includes one-on-one counseling. Click here to learn more about our programs.
Is there medication involved?
Our Medical Director, William Koch, MD, may prescribe a natural appetite suppressant to help you curb your appetite depending on your diagnosis.
What are the fees associated with your weight loss programs?
The fees vary dependent on the weight loss program and the amount of weight loss involved. The initial consultation is complimentary – with no obligation at all. We will cover subsequent program costs and other critical program facts during our consultation.
Do I have to be extremely overweight to consider one of your programs? What if I only need to lose 10-15 pounds?
Our weight loss programs are not simply for people who are extremely overweight, but are for anyone who is unhappy or feels unhealthy due to their weight. We will tell you if you shouldn’t, or don’t need to lose weight, or if you are not the right candidate for one of our weight loss programs. Our goal is your overall health.
Are your programs safe if I have diabetes, hypertension, or any other medical condition?
Not only are our programs safe for people with diabetes, hypertension, and other medical conditions – they are helpful in controlling any further complications that result from these diseases. More than this, our weight loss programs may help alleviate many of the other conditions that result from obesity, including arthritis, coronary artery disease, sleep apnea, persistent lymphedema, lower extrimity edema, and high cholesterol.
