About MAXFlex and MAXFlex Low Carb Programs

The MAXFlex Program uses two simple but effective tools, a Program Guide and Program Log, to help you lose weight and keep it off once you have reached your wellness goal.

The Program Guide provides a detailed overview of the three components of your program; proper food choices and portion size, adequate hydration and daily physical activity. Each of these components is broken down by category (food, liquid and physical activity) and then by your corresponding daily choices.  The goal of your food component is to eat 2 meal replacements, 1 meal and 2 snacks.  Review your guide daily to plan how to successfully meet each program component.

The Program Log is used to select and record the three components of your program each day.  The days of the week are listed vertically with all the components that you need to select from as part of your program (refer to the example below).  Within each day you have selections that need to be taken from the five major food groups (meat and bean, vegetable, fruit, grain and dairy) as well as your discretionary calories, liquid and exercise.  As you make your daily selections, write the number of times that selection is made under the food, liquid or exercise you have selected from that group. The calories for your daily selections should equal what is recommended for your program – 1000 calories for women or 1500 calories for men, 68 ounces of liquid and 30 minutes of physical activity for five days of the week.
